The beach

version 1:
a boy and a girl, friends for what seems like forever are walking, talking, and having a good time at the beach when the boy suddenly stops dead in his tracks and the girl is startled when he quickly turns around and looks her straight in the eyes “wha!? what’s wrong” “since when did were you a girl and when did you become so beautiful?” her jaw drops and and in a moment she says “took you long enough, i figured out you were a hansom boy a long time ago” they laughed, kissed, and kept walking, for 69 years.

version 2
A young boy with with ripped jeans & stained T-shirt  Was walking down the beach with a pretty lass with a bow in her hair. They had always come down here to play since they we old enough to walk, Now a days they are content to walk the shores after school. Of late somethings had grown distant like the warmth of the summer & new thing had drawn near like the colors of autumn.  There would be no more tag or name calling but instead jokes & stories of the past days in the halls. Still if there was something that never changed it was this place by the sea & the company. though overalls are gone, a dresses & ties may take there place, this something still remains.

On this particular autumn day then sun was setting early & you could tell she had something on her mind, she had been spending a great deal of time look down or off in the distance. but what was it...? as the boy began to contemplate this you might say he notice something strange, something he did not expect to see or rather from where originated was rather unexpected.

She look back at him surprised, "what, what's wrong...?"
quickly looking off to the distance He replied "um..... nothing..."
As she began to finger through her hair she asked"really...? you were staring at me, is there something crawling in my hair?"
blushing because he had been caught red handed "No.... it nothing like that, it just I noticed something I had never noticed before." he replied sheepishly, while scratching the back of his head.

Now curiosity was stirred with in her & nothing would stop her from getting her answers. She faced him leaning in with fist on her hips."And that would be" she demanded in a determined tone.
He was frantically searching for the right words but her stare.... it penetrated like a doctors scalpel cutting into flesh looking for secret as if they were cancer. he tried so hard to find the framing for what he meant to say, he failed.
He blurted out, "it's just... I mean... Since when were you a girl & when did you become so beautiful"!? now with eyes so wide, realizing what he just said, wishing more then anything he could take it back. he was so embarrassed.
Her jaw drops for a moment, then she leans back to laugh out loud, he is feeling mortified.... & just as he was starting to feel depressed she blurts out "It's about time, seriously! took you long enough, I figured out you were a boy a long time a go & a handsome one at that!". She drew near, grasped his hand. They laughed, kissed, & kept walking for 69 years.
